Collection: St. Gallen

St. Gallen is a fragmented wine-growing canton, precisely because the terroir is vast. The vineyard is not just one "postcard": it stretches around the Alpstein, along the very steep southern slopes of the Rheintal and Sarganserland, but also on the upper shores of Lake Zurich, and into a more urban pocket near Wil-Bronschhofen. In total, we are talking about just over 200 hectares, with a strong dominance of red grape varieties (around 70%). 

What connects these areas is the "corridor" and slope climate: a lot of sun on south-facing slopes, frequent foehn winds in the Rheintal and Sarganserland which dry out and ensure ripeness, and, on the Rheintal side, the influence of Lake Constance in the regional climate dynamics. The soils are often poor, which naturally leads to concentration and structure in the wines. 

Pinot & Co touch: in such a dispersed canton, our mission is simple and demanding: not to talk about "St. Gallen" in general, but to seek out the precise places that speak most loudly. Slopes that provide tension, wines that retain a backbone, and above all, bottles that taste of the slope, the air, and the stone more than of technique.
