Roman Hermann

Fläsch, Grisons – Switzerland

A Living Heritage, an Ambitious Vision

Roman Hermann embodies the new generation of the Grisons Herrschaft. Heir to a family estate founded in the 1930s by his great-grandfather, he officially took over in 2017 after significant experiences in New Zealand, Oregon, Germany, and South Africa.

He cultivates 6 hectares on the Fläscher Halde, with particular attention paid to each plot. His jewel: the historical terraces of Fläscher Bad, built by his grandfather on limestone soils, bathed in warmth and full of history.

Roman currently manages the only estate in the Herrschaft that produces more white wines than red wines.

In the vineyard and in the cellar, he works with rigor, slowness, and precision. His winemaking is low-intervention but highly controlled, each cuvée crafted with patience and high standards. A promising and already well-established name in Swiss winemaking succession.

Grape Varieties & Style

Riesling-Sylvaner, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Completer, Pinot Noir, Merlot

→ Straightforward, chiseled, expressive wines. Reds with an elegant structure, whites with vibrant and juicy freshness, deeply rooted in the living soils of the Fläscherberg.
