Jordi Renard

Villeneuve, Vaudois Chablais – Switzerland

New life for an old hillside

Originally from the South of France and settled in Switzerland since 2011, Jordi Renard embarked on the adventure of natural wine in 2020. He took over the reins of Domaine Crépon, founded in 1984, and renamed it Maison Vulpin, in homage to the discreet and curious animal he encounters in his vineyards: the fox (renard in French).

On these steep hillsides overlooking Lake Geneva, at the crossroads of the Rhône and Lavaux, he cultivates two hectares using intuitive biodynamic methods, with the motto: observe, respect, adapt.

Here, everything is done by hand, to the rhythm of life and lunar cycles. Treatments are natural, fermentations spontaneous, and wines are unfiltered with no added sulfites.

Grape varieties & style

Chasselas, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Syrah & Merlot

→ Natural, authentic, unadorned wines. Pure and lively cuvées, gently crafted, through maceration, hydraulic pressing, and free aging.

Jordi's philosophy

Producing natural wine is, above all, about being in the vineyard, connected with the elements that Mother Nature provides.
