Adrian Hartmann

Region: Schinznach, Aargau – Switzerland

A vibrant, rooted, and committed estate

Adrian Hartmann cultivates his grapes on the sunny slopes of the Schenkenbergertal, in the heart of Aargau. This clay-limestone terroir, south-facing and naturally ventilated, allows him to produce straightforward, ripe, and balanced wines.

The estate is managed biodynamically and is Demeter certified. Here, no synthetic products are used; instead, methods that regenerate the soil, promote biodiversity, and strengthen the vitality of the vines are employed.

Between the rows: sheep, native hedges, insects, birds, life. Adrian conceives his vineyards as a complete ecosystem, where each element plays its role in the overall balance.

In the cellar, the same philosophy: natural winemaking, indigenous yeasts, minimal intervention. Each wine is the result of patient and precise guidance, carefully considered from vine to bottle.

Adrian's philosophy

"Making wine is first and foremost about knowing how to wait. Observing, accompanying, letting things happen rather than adding."
