Collection: Bern

Bern, when it comes to wine, is mainly concentrated around Lake Biel. This is where the most emblematic Bernese vineyard is located: approximately 220 hectares on well-exposed hillsides, particularly around Twann, Ligerz, and La Neuveville. The lake plays a key role: it stores heat, reflects light, and moderates the climate, allowing for consistent ripening and very clean wines, often characterized by limestone minerality.

The picture is precise: steep slopes, terraces, dry and stony soils, with a lot of limestone in some areas; elsewhere, nuances of molasse, particularly towards Erlach and St. Peter's Island. Historically, it is a land of white wines (Chasselas), but Pinots (Noir, Blanc, Gris) are very much at home here, with fine balances and a true lakeside elegance.

And to be factual: the canton of Bern also has other small wine-growing areas (for example, around Lake Thun), but the core of the vineyard and the essence of the "Bernese wine" identity are indeed found at Lake Biel.

Pinot & Co touch: in a region where the slope and limestone already do half the work, our mission is simple: to seek out cuvées that taste of the place, not the recipe. Honest, precise, lively wines that make you want a second glass before you've even finished the first.
