Some wines sing, others sculpt. Weisstorkel 2022 does both. Pinot Noir from 560m altitude, 40% whole cluster, 24-day maceration, fermented in large oak foudres then aged 12 months in barrels (40% new). Generous nose: black cherry, blueberry, warm spices, blond tobacco. On the palate, volume, a supple yet present structure, a fine tension that keeps everything in line. It's expressive, ample, almost baroque - but nothing is heavy. To be enjoyed with roasted meat, a game dish, or to relive the history of a place with a voice.
