A Gamay that takes its time. From a Mont-sur-Rolle Grand Cru, aged 22 months in barrels, unfiltered and unfined, with a hint of sulfur if the year requires it. No makeup: just fruit, wood, and silence.
On the nose, it's deep and refined: morello cherry, white pepper, crumpled leaf. On the palate, the fruit is magnificent—bright but never exuberant—supported by a beautiful acidity and a length that stretches out like a horizon line. The texture is fine, the finish slightly smoky, taut, always in motion.
To be opened with a roasted duck dish, candied eggplant, or on a winter evening that deserves a little extra soul.
