Collection: Fribourg
Fribourg, in terms of wine, plays small in terms of surface area. But it has a major asset: Vully, a terraced vineyard located on the shores of Lake Murten (Murtensee), on the slopes of Mont Vully. It's nestled between Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Murten, in a mild, bright microclimate, with the water reflecting light and extending ripening times.
What makes it unique in Switzerland: Vully is the only intercantonal AOC, shared between Fribourg and Vaud, totaling about 150 to 160 hectares. Small, therefore. But large enough to produce precise, clean, and very "lake-like" wines. Chasselas as the backbone, Pinot Noir providing hillside elegance, and a few specialties that add depth.
And that's where Pinot & Co naturally comes in: in a region where not everyone can be "excellent" (as is the case everywhere), our job is to identify the plots, the hands, and the cellars that truly express the terroir. Frank, lively cuvées, not over-oaked, that smell more of the slopes and the lake breeze than of a technical data sheet.
